Minor Ailment Scheme

What is the Minor Ailment Scheme?
 
The aim is that patients will present for advice and treatment for minor ailments at a pharmacy rather than a GP practice. Patients may self-refer, be referred by a pharmacist or by a GP practice or out-of-hours GP.
 
  • Therapeutic areas include the following

 

      • Acne Vulgaris
      • Athlete' foot
      • Acute Diarrhoea
      • Ear Wax
      • Groin area infection
      • Haemorrhoids
      • Head lice
      • Mouth Ulcers
      • Scabies
      • Threadworms
      • Oral Thrush
      • Vaginal Thrush
      • Verrucae 

The Minor Aliment Scheme is a free scheme to the public.
